As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the HIV service at the Shopper Drug Mart at 455 Bank Street is updated based on the current Public Health recommendations.

Where and When?
Shoppers Drug Mart, 455 Bank Street (at the corner of Bank Street and Gladstone)
Clients will be screened over the phone and seen as appropriate, following these easy steps:
- Call the pharmacy at 613-238-9041 ext. 3, 3
- Ask to speak with Ben or Lisa
- Ben/Lisa will ask screening questions, including COVID-19 screening, and provide pre-test counselling over the phone
- If applicable, an appointment will be made and further instructions wil be provided
About the HIV Point-of-Care Test
At the 455 Bank Street Shoppers Drug Mart, we’ll be using the INSTI® HIV-1/HIV-2 Rapid Antibody Test by bioLytical, which is approved by Health Canada, and is an industry standard for Rapid HIV Point-of-Care Testing.

Bring your Ontario Health Card if you have one. It isn’t required, but can make your visit more efficient.
The Pharmacist has received specialized training to deliver the test, and answer your questions about HIV prevention and treatment, in a caring and confidential manner. You’ll also receive guidance on programs and services in the community that can help meet your specific needs.
